Asthma is the most common chronic disease in children; chances are that that about one in five to one in ten families have had an affected member at one time or the other. 

It is a potentially devastating diseases, yet it can be very easily tamed. Most parents are shocked and get very worried, understandably, when they learn that their child has asthma. 

The purpose of this web site is to alleviate such worries and make parents more prepared to deal with the disease.

I believe that, although asthma has no ultimate cure, a lot can be done to control it. Many times it is mild enough that minimal intervention is needed. Even in the more severe cases, the vast majority of children can lead perfectly normal lives with almost no symptoms. The key is to accept, understand the disease and manage it with the help of a professional.
